How do I choose a colloidal silver?
1) BEWARE of any website that appears to be giving free information, heralding that the organization is looking to inform you of quack products but yet the website PAYS the browser to place them at the top of the page when you search for the words, "colloidal silver". It is very unusual that a psychologist could pay the hundreds of thousands of dollars a year out of his own pocket to bash every natural product that is not sold by the pharmaceutical industry… Perhaps the money to advertise vigorously this "protective information" is paid not by one psychologist but comes from an industry that will not be able to sell you a prescription? These same websites claim chiropractors are not good for you either.
2) BEWARE of any colloidal silver retailer that wants to use a "bashing" dialog to descibe other colloidal silver products to sell their product. Let each product stand on its own merit.
3) BEWARE of so called scientific websites that seemingly point to only one colloidal silver product out of the hundreds that are available. Again you are being duped by an advertisement in which the colloidal silver company sponsoring the "scientific website" would like you to believe, that just because they pay your browser to place their website at the top of the page when you type in the words "colloidal silver", that you then will believe their negative placement of other colloidal silver companies.
4) LOOK for a company that gives a money back guarantee.
5) CHOOSE a product that meets your criteria of very
small particles of silver, color is ok, made from pure silver
(higher % best), your choice of PPM, at your price range then
find a product that works for you and stick with it. (How

What is colloidal?
The
term colloid was coined by Thomas Graham a Scottish scientist.
Colloidal is greek for "glue". A colloid is tiny particles
suspended in any medium, typically a liquid. Particles are
usually sized between 1 - 1000 nanometers in diameter.
What is PPM or parts per million? Parts per million is described as measurable particles foriegn to a pure liquid. The example of 1 ppm silver in distilled water would equal 1 mg (silver) per Liter of water.
What is nanometer? Nanometer is one billionth of a
meter. Once you have a particle as small as an atom, the public have no data to substanciate that if the particle is any degree smaller that it will be absorbed any quicker or better.
What is the advantage of a home generator?
Home generators allow you to make silver water at home very
inexpensive. The particles made with the common 9 volt battery
are substancially larger than the commercial high voltage
generators. There are more ions and less suspended silver
particles as well. IF THIS WORKS FOR YOU, great! PLEASE make
sure that you only use DISTILLED water to make your own silver
water. No tap water. No Salt as it is a hazard and will form
a harmful compound when added to the water.
Is clear or dark colored colloidal silver ok?
Practical Colloid Chemistry, published in London in 1926. In the section on the "Colours of Colloidal Metals", sub-section on the "Polychromism of silver solutions" on page 69, are the following statements: "The continuous change in colour from yellow to blue corresponds to a change in the absorption maximum of the shorter to longer wave-lengths with a decreasing degree of dispersion. This is a general phenomenon in colloid chemistry illustrating the relation between colour and degree of dispersion."
Colloidal Silver that has a high percentage of the silver
content in the form of micron sized particles will absorb
visible light causing the liquid to appear dark-amber or brown.
It is the very high concentration of particles, not large
particle size or contamination, that gives these products
such color.
What is ionic silver?
What is silver salt?
What is mild silver protein?
What is Particle silver?
Are these all silver water?
Small particles of silver suspended in water are CALLED colloidal silver.
Ionic silver has mostly ions of silver suspended in the water, comes from low votage generated silver generators, and can be identified by placing a small amount of colloidal silver in a container and adding salt. The water will form a white cloud of silver chloride in the water if the solution is ionic silver. All electrically produced coloidal silver sold has some silver ions in it. If no silver ions are present then no white cloud will form.
Silver salt, silver nitrate is acheived when you add salt to
the electro-generation of colloidal silver. Try not to make
these solutions by using tap water that has minerals of salt
or chlorene that would not let you achieve a good colloidal
silver, these compounds can be harmful in large amounts.
Mild silver protein has silver particles in it and was first sold as colloidal silver. The specific manufacturing techniques of this product can produce better quality colloidal silver than others. All manufacturers of colloidal silver do not use the same techniques. If you shake mild silver protein, foam should stay on top of the liquid about one minute.
Particle silver is generated comercially with high voltage electricty
and has ions in it as well as silver particles but is manufactuered
to have as few silver ions as possible. All manufacturers of
colloidal silver do not use the same techniques.
What happens if the colloid silver freezes?
In most cases if colloidal silver freezes the bottle breaks. If a colloidal silver is allowed to freeze, the suspended particles may precipitate and fall to the bottom of the bottle. If the color has changed to clear as water after thawing, then the colloidal silver is no longer effective and should be discarded. If the color is normal, then the colloidal silver should be fine.
Can pets use colloidal silver?
Many pat owners use colloidal silver. Consult your vetinarian concerning coloidal silver for your pets and birds.
What is Argyria?
Argyria is a skin condition that is caused by very large silver
compounds that become trapped in body tissues. Silver compounds
are other chemicals mixing with silver such as salt + silver
yields silver chloride. When the skin is exposed to sunlight,
the silver trapped in the skin create a gray hue in the skin
tissue. Almost all cases of Argyria are the result of silver
nitrate or silver salt uses in great doses. There are no known
cases of Argyria when consumption of silver is within the daily
EPA
approved amounts of silver intake. There are less than 300
cases of argyria worldwide. One widely published case was with
the use of nose drops, frequently. Another case of a Congressman
was in the use of self generated silver water, not using distilled
water and using salt for better conductivity (Please do not
use these methods).
What are the benefits of using colloidal silver?
There is a non profit website that does not sell or recommend
colloidal silver by brand name but does post "uses"
THAT WE cannot voice nor does this website endorse as the FDA
only allows us to sell suppliments with no claims for their
use. www.silvercolloidal.org

Is colloidal silver toxic?
"Potatoes, tomatoes, wheat, mushrooms, and many other common foods contain toxins and/or carcinogens or even mostly harmless substances which can be harmful to susceptible individuals. They don't usually harm us because we limit their consumption to levels to which our body can adapt to, and metabolize."
Silver is not toxic when consumed as a supplement and within the EPA daily allowances.
Are there other colloidals besides silver?
There are other colloidal metals in addition to colloidal silver.
The other most known is colloidal
gold.
